Have van, will travel! So, braving the cold with my newly refound fake fur lined coat (why people would choose to spend a fortune on a dead animal to keep themselves warm is really beyond me), myself and my assistant deirdre set off for county louth. On her recommendation, we had to have the homemade burger and chips at the waterside pub/restaurant in termonfeckin. For €8.25, you will be stuffed! Then on to the seaside in clogherhead and baltray, before finishing up in drogheda town. At least it was dry and bright, but as the weather deteriorates, its made me realize that I need to join something like the AA. What the hell will I do, when the van won't start one freezing cold morning, or even if I get a simple puncture on my travels?

Thankfully I have swimming tomorrow, which I would'nt miss for the world. My body is so out of shape, so highly catabolic, that it makes (once) simple things like stretching out in bed. Just watching schindler's list on tv, and the news is reporting about the chaos in the congo. I will never understand why humans, given all we go through, are so damn ready to get on our knees for others!
