Wednesday 15/10/09 Angry Cynic?

I really did'nt think that some of the pages on my website were coming across as so angry and cynical. But recently I've gotton some e-mails, that leave me in no doubt that this is the case. One of the e-mails that I got today from Pennsylvania, rebuked me a little over ill feelings toward a god and religion. I dont have the energy anymore for lengthy e-mail responses, and these pages are done either with help, or over the course of a number of days. In my short reply to her, I said that I find religions insulting and annoying. I can well understand why people get so angry about religion, because ultimately these deluded people consider themselves to be on a god given mission to shape the laws and dictate how everyone else lives their lives, whether they subscribe to these beliefs or not. Personally I would'nt say I'm angry rather indifferent. When you close your mind to any idea or thought that contradicts your own , you are doing yourself no favours.I remember I went to prayer groups and meetings, even while I was at university. I am no mad scientist, and find the whole idea of evolution a little hard to grasp, but then again I don't understand the process behind electricity, all that I care is that the room lights up when i turn a switch.I just do not believe that everything of importance in the world started a few thousand years, ago in a garden with a talking snake!
